I truly enjoyed last weeks visit with the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB) as a representative of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) at the Conference in San Diego. This was my first NAREB Conference and the welcome was very warm. Deen Teer, (www.stylejunkieantiques.com) and I learned new social media techniques in several of the classes presented by very talented presenters. We have Facebook, Twitter and other social media accounts but we were not using them to our benefit in so many ways.
Having a few hundred followers, etc. is a drop in the bucket compared to the ability of these mediums to bring so much more attention to our business. We left each session inspired to do a much better job of tweeting, etc.
The presenters were all very informed and mentioned the value of the social media in their business. Their patience explanation of how these tools work and benefit made the sessions especially helpful to those new to Real Estate and/or using social media.
We also attended the Saturday morning Women's Council Prayer Breakfast. Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer, Senior Pastor, Faithful Central Church wowed all in attendance with his very educational, humorous and useful recap of life challenges and common sense experiences.
NAR was a Conference Partner and was represented by 2012 California Association of Realtors President LeFrancis Arnold, Milton Shockley, Wendy Furth, Deen Teer and Mike Teer (www.miketeer.com).
